  • two small scars curve underneath the right of her chin.

  • huge jagged scar cuts across her chest.

Personality:

Hailed as a prodigy at a young age and groomed by her mother, she grew up to be highly intelligent and confident, yet narcissistic and cunning. She relentlessly drilled herself toward perfection and settled for nothing less from herself. She believed that power and domination were the defining traits of strength, and as such would only help others if she thought there was some personal gain at stake. She had absolute confidence in her right to lead, with which she believed she was born to.  She was a natural leader, taking charge in tricky situations with no problem. She harbored neither pity nor mercy for those she marked as treasonous or inferior. She took great pride in her clan, regardless of whether she liked someone in her clan or wanted to kill them when it came to their rivalry with the other three clans she'd always have her clanmates back.  Despite all her 'strength' and perfection, she's had and always will have a fierce and dangerous temper, and a fragile state of mind. Her unbalanced mental state and emotional instability seemed to feed her power and her prodigious fighting skill. Despite her cruel personality, she's not incapable of caring for a few people. She ha an obsessive "love" for her mother, though it's hard to say whether it was genuine or due to her mental issues.

With the sudden death of her mother by a cat whom she deemed as the weakest, the molly's mind reached its tipping point and shattered. Life around her has become rather bland and meaningless. The cats in her clan that she would once die for are either considered as threatening rats or toys and pawns for her to play with. The whole world has become something of a game to her, one she's not interested in winning just playing. Without her mother around, her new obession is simply strength and survival. She believes that many take their lives and ShadowClan for granted and so she can often be found subjecting them to "tests", usually traps or situations that rigged to maim or kill the subjects if they fail. Unlike most killers, she never intends to kill my subjects; the purpose of my 'tests' is to see if the subject has the will to live, as she hopes their experience will teach them the value of life. In her mind, the deaths of those that fail are justified, because those who fail to do what's necessary to survive don't deserve life for they are missing a vital piece of the life's puzzle: the survival instinct.

She's become a merciless and sadistic creature who is more than ready to kill anyone at the slightest provocation. She takes maniacal glee in killing anyone she fights or just for fun. Whilst appearing to be driven by general bloodlust, truthfully she subconsciously uses violence as a dysfunctional coping mechanism and outlet for her deeply repressed emotional and psychological issues. Most take her at face value, as a sadistic, incredibly destructive, volatile, psychopath, and this is how she initially thinks of herself, ignoring the psychological trauma and emotional turmoil that fuels her behavior, possibly investing herself in this surface image to prevent others from discovering her emotional scars.

With her mind broken, it seems to have split into two who alters known as Sanity and Madness. Both sides constantly battling for control, making the molly rather unpredictable and dangerous. Her Sanity retains all her intelligence, pride, order, and strange affection for the clan and the code. Her Madness contains all her rage, bloodlust, violence, fear of betrayal, and being killed. It's difficult to get them to stop bickering, her mind is never silent anymore. In spite of her many many flaws, she had plans and goals in mind. She takes her role as clan leader very seriously, anyone who doubts her she'll send them straight to hell.

History

From birth, it's been nothing but survival with her. The weak had no chance, no life, her mother made sure to explain that to her as soon as her ears started working. Her little brother, Tinykit, was left to starve to death because he was a runt and her mother didn't want to waste her time with him. Dawnkit was born big, bigger than her sister, Hailkit. Together the two of them managed to survive. Iceheart made it known that Dawnkit was her favorite, due to her size and natural strong character. One the good days she was adored by her mother while Hailkit was seemingly tolerated.  Dawnkit did her best to comfort her sister when her mother compared the two them, she loved her sister. She loved Hailkit even more, when her mother went through her bad days, spewing insults and hatred at them. Wishing they were never born, how they ruin her life. Iceheart had been a difficult mother, but she was all Dawnkit had.

Everything became harder when Dawnkit became old enough to be an apprentice. Dawnpaw's mentor was Iceheart, her own flesh, and blood. Training under her mother was hard, as Iceheart's daughter her mother expected nothing less than perfection from her. Perhaps it was because she was Iceheart's daughter that nothing was ever good enough for her. She'd train from sunup to sundown, Iceheart drilled strength into her being, her core. She made sure that Dawnpaw knew she was better than everyone else, born for leadership. She didn't need anyone but her mother because Mother knew best.

Dawnpaw grew up larger than most cats, mentally she matured faster than normal apprentices because mother didn't allow her time to make friends or be a normal apprentice. She had to be the best of the best and nothing less. Dawnpaw grew prideful, cunning, manipulative, and more. The longer she trained underneath Iceheart the further away she got from Hailpaw. Day by day, little by little, she saw why her mother disliked Hailpaw so much, her sister was soft, weak, spineless. Instead of handling anything herself, she always ran to their grandmother when things got to be too much. Expecting the hag to make everything all better. Dawnpaw had no one but Iceheart. Their relationship began to fall apart as she started to side with Iceheart over Hailpaw.

Dawnpaw excelled quickly, becoming one of the youngest warriors in ShadowClan, Dawnstripe. By then her relationship with Hailstorm just got worse and worse, they began to walk their own paths. It wasn't long after the mess with RiverClan started, Dawnstripe was aware of the feud they had with RiverClan, but it just got worse when they started losing territory. It didn't help when their weak and spineless leader vanished alongside that unrememberable deputy. Naturally, StarClan had to choose a new leader, someone strong enough to bring ShadowClan back to greatness. It was no surprise to her when her mother picked. There was no better choice. Crowsomething was placed as the deputy, he was worthless and didn't last long. Dawnstripe had understood at the time that the choice was out of her mother's paws, so when Crowtail was exiled she assumed Icestar would taker her as the next deputy... it didn't happen.

Instead, she picked some idiotic worm, Beastspark. Could anyone really fault her for her outburst at the Meeting? She's been groomed since birth to stand beside Icestar, how could she take some behemoth instead of her own daughter. For a while, Dawnstripe didn't take it well. In the end, she decided that her mother had a lapse in judgment, Icestar would come to her mind and see her error and Dawnstripe would replace her. Days turn to moons and still, her mother didn't replace Dawnstripe with the idiotic. Not even after he had proven to be soft, sneaking WindClan into their territory like that. She bet there was more than that, but Icestar never replaced him.

Dawnstripe started noticing little things, her other seemed to be growing softer and softer, senile perhaps. It was the only explanation for her strange behavior.  She fought in raid after raid, always siding with Icestar, carrying out every single task given to her yet never getting the rank that rightfully belonged to her. Hailstorm tried to talk to her about their mother, tried to remind just how terrible the she-cat was during a hunt one day. They fought verbally, and after that Dawnstripe lost contact with Hailstorm. Unless it had something to with Icestar reminding her to be better than Hailstorm, Dawnstripe kept her nose out of anything that involved Hailstorm.

She kept herself busy with her own things, training, hunting, and finally reminding her mother that she was just as good if not better after briefly having her apprentice, Blackpaw, reach warriorhood, Blackhaze. Clan life was easy for a little bit until WindClan came along. Their damn leader picking a fight over nothing, raiding them. WindClan's raid pushed Dawnstripe to her limit, watching her clanmates flee as they were kicked out of their own territory from such a cowardly clan disgusted her. Having to take help from a cat whom willing gave up on his clan like that, like they were beggars. It was humiliating, Dawnstripe swore she'd have her revenge on Twilightstar. Life went out of control after they returned to their territory.

Everything was going great, Icestar finally recognized her greatness and named Dawnstripe her deputy after demoting Beastspark. Dawnstirpe had carried out her task of finding her wayward sister, Hailstorm after she ran away and spilled clan secrets to opposing clans. She found Hailstorm and brought her to Icestar, naturally earning the rank of deputy. But then Hailstorm ruined, Dawnstripe got to be the deputy for like five seconds and then was forced into the position of leader after her sister murdered her mother and took off. Dawnstripe didn't take it well at all, her clanmates tried killing her for laughing and hurt herself, called her crazy, mad, insane after she exiled a cat who clearly didn't want to be in the clan anymore. The birdy left happily, yet they were still upset with her. So many cats just up and abandoned her without giving her a chance. Not many if anyone tried to help her when Croakingtoad and Crowskip tried to murder her.

They all just watched and yowled, Croakingtoad got away, Crowskip was imprisoned. Somehow Dawnstripe got her clan under control, she even found them a new camp after WindClan destroy their last one. Yet all they did was complain and whine about it, no one was grateful for her hard work or the fact that she held off on getting her lives to make sure the clan was comfortable. Dawnstripe was destined for bad luck, even StarClan rejected her. All but one gave her a life. She had to turn to the dark forest to get the rest of her lives. Dawnstar would prove them wrong, all of them, she'd be a great leader, better than even Icestar. ShadowClan would be feared once more, Dawnstar decided that she'd bring in a new era for ShadowClan. Just watch and wait.
